Field Recording #5

This was recorded inside of the second garage from the left of the carwash located just to the east of the intersection of W Larabee St and N Maple St. The Mics were held with one next to a fluorescent light fixture and the other out in the middle of the room away from any surfaces.  There were interesting clanks coming from underneath a grate in the floor, as well as a higher pitched squeaking sounds coming from a flag outside, which was mounted on the roof.

Field Recording #4

This was recorded in the parking lot of the same carwash at the intersection of Larabee and Maple.  This was captured at the money machine, where you pay to use the automatic carwash available at this location.  One mic was placed near where you insert your money, the other was placed by the dish where your change dispenses.

Field Recording #3

This recording was done by placing both mics near the base of the flag
pole located in the parking lot of Ozaukee Bank on Grand Ave.  It was very windy out, causing the flag poles ropes to rattle o
n the pole itself.  This created an interesting effect. It reminded me of suite case wheels rolling over pavement.

Field Recording #2

Audio recording #1. slide_drumming was recorded at the park/p
layground located just off of W Larabee St, between Rogers St and Crocker Ave.  This was captured with both mic
s placed on the slide, at the top of the slide. I then used my hands to drum on the top step, the slide itself, and also the
orange cover of the slide (the one that protects kids from falling off) The cover is what was used to get the d
eep bass sound.

Field Recording #1

This recording was done half way up the hill near the park/playground located just off of W. Larabee St, between Rogers St and Crocker Ave.  This was recorded with both mics placed about 2 feet from each other both facing forward.  The sounds were made by two people shoveling and talking in a driveway about 100 yards away on Larabee St.

Drift Strategy

The strategy for this blog was to walk one block south, two blocks east, one block south, two blocks...etc.  I was able to hold to this for a while, but then i encountered a street which turned a corner at the end, pointing me north.  At this point i continued this pattern; two blocks north, one block west, etc. until i returned to my starting position.
